First State Bank of the Florida Keys supported Monroe County School District as a major sponsor for United Way’s “Stuff the Bus” Keyswide initiative.
First State Bank had booths in Key West and Key Largo to promote the “Stuff the Bus” event, while giving away popcorn and holding a raffle. The winner of the raffle chose a school in Monroe County that will receive a $125 jackpot on behalf of the Bank and the winner.
“As a valued partner of Monroe County Schools and supporter of United Way, First State Bank thanks the community for their generous support for our local students, the drive was successful and many needed goods were collected for this coming school year,” said Karen Mendez, First State Bank of the Florida Keys Vice President/Key West Winn Dixie Branch Manager.
United Way of the Florida Keys, Monroe County School District and local businesses partnered for “Stuff the Bus” as a three day campaign, held in Key West, Marathon and Key Largo, for the community to stuff three buses with back-to-school supplies for needy students in Monroe County.
