Nola Acker, First State Bank Assistant Vice President/Key Largo Branch Manager was re-elected to the Key Largo Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and was awarded the Chairman’s Bell Award for the second consecutive year. Acker, a member of the Key Largo Chamber since 2006, was selected to receive the Chairman’s Bell Award for her outstanding contribution to the Chamber the past two years. She is the only the second member to receive the award two years in a row. As Board Member, Acker works with the Chamber to promote Key Largo as both a tourist destination and business friendly community, advocating for new job stimulation and business development. “It’s a great honor to be elected to the Board again and continue the long tradition of community involvement by the employees and officers of First State Bank of the Florida Keys,” said Acker. “I’m proud to work with this amazing Board of Directors, community leaders and local businesses in building a more profitable community.” Acker also serves as a board member of the Friends of the Key largo Cultural Center and is a member of Take Stock in Children as well as The Key Largo Community Preservation Foundation.
