First State Bank of the Florida Keys continues its historic commitment to Mariners Hospital with a donation to the Gordon Present 5K Walk/Run, benefiting the Center for Excellence in Nursing on November 19th at 8:00am starting at Coral Shores High School. The event will attract walkers and runners Keyswide through Miami-Dade County to race down Old Highway from Coral Shores High School to Treasure Village Montessori. The race will also include a Wellness Fair with free cholesterol and glucose screenings as well as massage therapy. “We are grateful to First State Bank for their contributions to our nurses and their education, which helps to enhance the services we provide to our patients,” said Director of Development for Mariners Hospital Foundation Director of Development for Mariners Hospital Foundation, Wendy Gentes. The Bank’s donation will go to the Center for Excellence in Nursing. Administered by the nurses of Mariners Hospital, the Center provides scholarships to those interested in pursuing a nursing career, professional development for nurses and equipment for the hospital.
