First State Bank joined the American Bankers Association Educational Foundation and sponsored the National Teach Children to Save Day. First State Bank Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager Brian Barroso visited two Poinciana Elementary 2nd grade classrooms to teach children the basics of money management. During the lesson, students applied the concepts through games and other hands-on activities to earn prizes donated by the Bank. “It is important to teach the youth of our community how to save and handle money properly,” said Barroso. “Teaching them the framework and importance of budgeting and saving is the best investment we can make in their future.” Return to News |
