First State Bank of the Florida Keys promoted Susan Larson to Senior Vice President, Regulatory Compliance and BSA Officer.

Larson joined First State Bank in 1992 as Assistant Vice President/Senior Accounting Officer progressing to Vice President/Controller in 1999 and assuming responsibility as Vice President/BSA-AML Officer in 2006.

“Susan is an essential part of our team with extensive banking experience and knowledge,” said Elizabeth Miranda, First State Bank Executive Vice President and risk Manager. “We are pleased to recognize the dedication and commitment that Susan has provided for our customers, employees, Bank and local Board.”

Larson holds an M.B.A. and an A.A.S. in Accounting from Bellarmine College in Louisville, KY and a B.A. in English, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has completed the Florida Banking Association’s Bank Secrecy Act program and earned a Senior Compliance Officer AML/BSA Certificate from the Florida International Bankers Association.
