First State Bank Thinks Pink
Pictured: Members of the First State Bank of the Florida Keys “Pink Team” pose in front of the Bank Manatee Sculpture for “Pink Friday” (L-R): Vanessa Hedrick, Lois Walton, Nicole Laboy, Tyler Kocis, Michele Gil, Sandra Gordon, (right side, front row) Kristyne, Rose, Kay Miller, Don Lanman, (right side, back row) Griselle Molina, Daisy Naseiro, Celine Ezpeleta, Laura Griffin, Gabriella Mott, Doria Goodrich, Amy Coley and Lori Menendez.

First State Bank of the Florida Keys is promoting Breast Cancer Awareness and raising money for both the American Cancer Society and the Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys throughout the month of October by supporting “Pink Month”.

The Bank has opened a Pink Account for locals to support the two organizations in their fight against breast cancer. The Bank has also established “Pink Fridays” throughout October allowing employees to wear pink in exchange for a $2 donation to the Pink Account and a “Bling Your Bra” employee contest, where contestants will vie for four cash prizes to be donated to the local cancer organization of their choice.

Pink ribbons are available for free or a small cash donation at First State Bank’s 11 Keyswide branches. The Bank’s dynamic website, KeysBank.com, has a full list of local Keys events in support of Pink Month.

“First State Bank is proud to go “Pink” and raise awareness and money in the fight against breast cancer,” said Don Lanman, Senior Vice President of First State Bank of the Florida Keys. “This is another example of locals working with locals to help locals.”
